Lot of folks have had polarizing thoughts of Slime this season, but I think the meat and bones of what makes the show work like it does is the points you were making at the end. Someone like Ainz or a Ayanokoji who are also tactical are so very different from Rimuru. Hopefully y'all stick with this show when it returns!

2024-09-29 11:07:22 +0000 UTCI think they were banned for not trusting Tempest. They mention the contracts, but that's not the reason Rimuru gave for being banned. They only things the really left out of the scene was, are you sure you won't accept ancient coins and, are you sure you won't trust us? (Plus some stuff about how Diablo communicated with the journalists.) But yes, it lacked drama because it was short. And then, in the beginning of the very next scene, Mjollmile explains, poorly, that when the merchants begged to be forgiven, he kindly agreed to mediate with Rimuru to lift their bans, and now the merchants are grateful to Tempest and owe them a favor. Thus showing Rimuru and Mjollmile learned from Elmesia and used the same trick the merchants used on them.

2024-09-29 02:21:19 +0000 UTCSlime will have seasons with 90% being fighting, they just like to explain everything so that whenever we get to the fight scenes we know why and what we are fighting for etc… so yes this season was a little slow with meetings but I cannot even begin to explain the good shit that’s about to happen.

In previous seasons it was like half and half boxing to yapping this one felt 2/3 to 3/4 yapping and it just put me to sleep at parts. Felt like they had chances to make it more balanced but to keep it 24 episodes they just went with this because the dialogue is more helpful going forward than the one off fights. Great show still just a mid season to me but every great show has to have a mid season to set up and sustain the next top tier seasons

So i am not too interested. i am aware you believe its good, i saw comments say characters from the movie have now appeared in the show making it cannon, etc. Generally with something divided and long, i don't priortize it much. I don't jump on animated movies much and i don't jump on OVAS much because we haaaaave so much content to choose from. If there is an opening and i think it makes sense, we will cover it. But likely you wouldn't know until we just did it. Cuz its not something in my plans
