If you've been having as hard a time as I have with the pronunciation of Seok ryu's name, I think I've figured it out. It sounds a lot like it's being said more like "seung-nyu". The hangul gets a little tricky in reading when a k meets an r, but in the language, it's not as harsh as an english speaker may see it as.

You won't struggle with names anymore and you'll realize the romanticized version (in english) isn't exact and just confusing you.
