Also, the lawyer wiping the hands in the end reminded me of Attorney Woo where it also ate at her that she was too damn good and was helping guilty ppl get away too because of being a super-lawyer. Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman is a similar situation. Homie in this show was like "I have to wipe away this sin!!! I'm too good at my job!!".... I also liked Lee referencing Jesus and Pilate in the end discussion because that's a good similar situation.

So for a person like me watching. “Wait a minute there is 2 of you…jump him! At least try cuz i am watching inaction for a drawn out period without much to disarm my thoughts. Its like watching your team losing in sports. You know they are doung their best. They are literally the best in the world. Like top 1% but you yell at them to do better anyways lol. “Why didn’t you throw the ball or blah blah blah”

Whenever characters just stay still while something terrible's happening in front of them, I blame the directing and editing. XD Should've either emphasized how scared they were in the shots they chose, or given the actors something to do in the scene; especially with a character like HongJoo, who's so gung-ho usually. Maybe see her surreptitiously calling the police, since it's clear she did, or have her searching for something to get the knife off of him?

2024-09-16 12:53:36 +0000 UTCLove rewatching this with you guys. What you were saying about the lawyer is one of the things I love about Park Hye-Ryun, the writer of this. In all her dramas -- Pinnochio, Start-Up, While You Were Sleeping, I Hear Your Voice -- all her characters feel like human beings. The leads are allowed to be messy and have bad habits, the antagonists are allowed to be complex and have understandable psychology. She's just great at writing people who feel like actual people, and highlighting little unglamorous moments that make the world feel real. Props to her leads, too, for being so willing to portray themselves in unflattering lights. All the actors in this show are great.

I'm glad that you gave him credit, this kdrama was really popular in 2017 but I was annoyed to see that there wasn't much buzz around him at that time, I guess it's hard to shine when you work with actors that are already big, this dude worked really hard, I have seen him in many variety shows too. Also, about that Suzy's scene in the bathroom, let be real, we do stuff like that when we are alone😂

It came to my mind that I saw him in another drama, The Innocent Man, where he also played a role as a lawyer, but with completely different characteristics, and he did a great job there, too. Even when it comes to a guest role who only appears in several episodes in Signal, he is always impressive in his roles.
