If I may suggest rather than Love Next Door there's another show ongoing "No Gain No Love" and I am finding this more interesting. Maybe it's a personal preference but as you guys love comedy I thought you would like this too 😊

2024-09-11 01:05:25 +0000 UTCTo me the show doesn't fall flat because it presents everyday adult characters that are 3D, chaotic, flawed, yet completely relatable and loveable - you can see yourself or people you know in them. As it's the same screenwriter as Hometown Cha Cha Cha, I knew that the romcom aspect was going to be showcased in a 'slice of life' setting; that may be why it threw some people off. Melo romcoms are great and filled with amazing tropes (e.g., Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner), but love stories presented through everyday characters is just as captivating (the Reply series, Our Beloved Summer). That's why I'm also enjoying No Gain No Love - yes it's a bit over the top, but at its core it is a slice of life romcom.

I've tried like legit 5 times to get through episode 4 and I just can't.. I reallly just find it boring unfortunately but it could just be me in a kdrama slump of sorts no shows have hooked me recently. I personally just dont see how the plot is interesting enough for a reaction show but if you guys cover it ill give it another go as with everything you guys watch haha.

They dont throw everything at you at once. Its truly a good show, im sad you will not get to watch it at the same time as us. And it definitely will not win any poll anytime soon so its a bummer. Its worth the watch

So idk if it's worth the watch and if it'll continue to be hyped until the end.

I look for people that are being informative, answering something, unique. I avoid fun facts, spams, rants, and people telling me why i am wrong lol. I hope this helps. Also by now I recognize you were a username and pay attention to what you’re talking about but I can’t keep up with all the comments under polls “ I can give you my own answer to that (not everyone will agree of course) : I watched it years ago and I really appreciated the experience but to me it was really dark so I never felt like I would enjoy rewatching it and I'm also not interested in watching a reaction to it (it just creates too many negative emotions in me). I also think that because of the subject matter and how dark it is not as many people have watched it as some of the others shows in the polls, so of course people who didn't watch it are not interested in watching a reaction to it... For a similar reason I think shows like Love next door that have not finished airing have a bit of a lesser chance of winning the poll because a number of viewers among the voters of these polls prefer to wait until the show is available in its entirety before starting to watch it, either because they prefer to binge watch or because they don't want to start a show that goes from awesome to ok to meh to awful as it continu”

However, if they pick it up I might give the drama a try so I'm not against it. By the end of the day, you should be allowed to make some choices in your reaction channel too, especially if it would help with views :)

I've noticed many veteran kdrama watchers tend to wait shows out before jumping on the hype train, but by all means, if you all see a show gaining traction, I think you're obligated to supersede the voting process to get more out of your service.

I only release two episodes a week so it’s ideal to get to it sooner than later if it’s something we’re going to get to it.
