2024-09-10 05:15:03 +0000 UTCso we've actually touched base on jae chan's trauma in the show already. he mentioned when his father got involved in the soldier's issue, he died needlessly. while other's called it heroic, he considered it abandonment. i think that heavily impacted his thought process on getting involved in things when it's not his problem. if you fail in solving the situation, you disappoint those who were supporting you. i think the end of this episode, when it showed his dream, was him coming to the realization that he may be more like his father than he wanted to be and he was set on turning away from that for fear of ending up in a similar situation and disappointing those around him. but then throughout the episode, and including the playful kiss avoidance at the end, was him kind of coming to accept that fact and maybe getting ready to move forward with it but at his own pace. i think his character development is my favorite in the show. i think it's probably the most realistic.
