Added 2024-09-04 12:36:14 +0000 UTCToday I I saw a comment talking about our views being low because we don’t cover Isekai which is what we are “known for”. Lol. While the nature of the comment isn’t entirely true, cuz we do well on the popular shows and our Kdramas get like 20k views easily.

My understanding is we started watching Romcoms and enjoy those so we do more RomCom and Less Isekais.
In general the Romcoms we cover are more
popular in my sphere than the majority of the Isekais.
But i see slots that could have gone to Isekai
Like Case of Vanitas, Domestic Girlfriend, Deer Friend BUT BUT. Domestic Girlfriend was and is HEAT.
So the poll is to see if you want me to guarantee 2-3 Airing/non airing Isekai with a FOCUS ON NEW (not gonna debate the importance of the algorithm and posted relevant content people search for TODAY) at the cost of trying some new shows.
So we are looking at

2-3 Romcoms
2-3 Shonen

Well yes, but accualy no. Normaly I would go to my famous essay-long comment, but I will keep it short, cuz I'm giga-busy right now. Yes you are at your best in "isekais", hell I would go so far to say you are THE best on the market in them. In everything else you aren't bad, but you aren't anything special...and in KDramas you are compleatly dogshit (or meby KDramas themselfe are just dogshit...don't know/don't care), but as the only big channel covering them it's how algorythm works you will get the vievs. With that being said you are good enough in general to carry any genere...as long as the show is halfway decent, noone will watch dogshit shows no matter who reacts to them...and there comes, the simple solution on "the hell to do then?". JUST DO THE GOOD SHOWS! if it happens we have a season with banger romcoms, and shit isekais - do more romcoms, if we have season packet with isekai bangers - do more isekais, BUT! And that's a really important BUT if my some scheduling miracle we get a God Tier Season, with bangers on top of bangers, just too many to record, ALWAYS isekai banger, should take prio over "anything else banger" Aslo, aslo. Less important but aslo important BUT...if there is a dogshit season with nothing to watch, just pick up some classics, granted you did most of them, but there are still some gems left

Part of the reason why I subscribed to you guys in the first place was how much you guys love and get into the shows you react to. As such I'm not going to tell or really even ask you to not watch so much of the K-dramas just because I'm not into them. This should be more than just a job to you, and no real fan of you guys would reasonably ask you to stop watching something that you enjoy. On the other hand it would be nice to have more variety in your content again, and on that note I would like to say that I'm excited to see you guys (apparently) going to be reacting to The Wrong Way to use Healing Magic. In one of your previous polls where you asked about a show that would be replacing one that you were wrapping up I was pleasantly surprised to see that Healing Magic was on it, and even more so that it was considerably ahead in the polls when I voted for it myself. I'm going to cross my fingers that this is still the case now, but the possibility that you would consider reacting to a somewhat older (but still good) show like this is nothing but good news to me. Anyway the point I'm trying to get to is that I don't think that you should stop watching something that you enjoy, but I'm glad that you're open to having more variety in your programming. Also, while I understand that you need to focus mainly on what's new just so that your channel doesn't flounder, I'm glad to see that something doesn't necessarily need have to be currently airing for you guys to consider reacting to it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you put out there in the future.

I just watch what I enjoy and that's that. Even when you have Poles for things that I'm not interested in I will always vote for the majority. Because I believe that's what's best for the people watching and what you guys enjoy as well.

Most of the shows are too samey and the ones that arent you have seen already. BTW I mean standard isekai with OP protagonists in a medieval world setting. Not something like Uncle from Another World that spices it up.

Whereas if you just stick to what's peak regardless of genre, you'll find out about it regardless and can cover it then. If it's really that good, enough people will be loud about it

2024-09-04 15:53:40 +0000 UTCthe truth is, most isekai is trash lol. the genre is popular, which is why theres 5+ every season, but theres only ever a few bangers. shit, even plus sized elf is technically isekai 😂i only really watch isekai if its actually funny or just a good show. people are gonna say youre known for whatever show they started watching you guys, or only what theyre interested in. if you only looked at pure numbers youre a kdrama channel 😄 personally im here for the reactions where you guys are enjoying yourselves, so id say watch shows you are actually interested in, even if its not something i watch. a lot of times it makes me check out some shows id never considered. theres also plenty of shows i enjoy but you guys are probably not going to watch or just didnt vibe with it, but thats fine, its impossible to please everyone.

I think it feels sparse because this summer lineup was kind of tough outside of the heat you picked up. Maybe check out something like Daily Life of the Immortal King if you’re digging the Chinese shows that have Isekai traits but aren’t Isekai.

If a new promising isekai show is airing, you will most likely hear about it from the community.

2024-09-04 13:22:30 +0000 UTCi honestly think you're doing a great balancing job right now. no point in forcing more isekai if the quality has to drop. and honestly, shows are mostly decided by polls or discord so it's up to us letting you know if a good show is airing/should be covered. and slowly but surely we will get through them all (of any genre). since you're not robots that can record 24/7 we need to wait lol. i too have still a fking long list of shows i would like you to react even after 3 whole years here. but it's physically impossible for you to do so so people just need to wait and their favourite show will come🤞🏼

2024-09-04 13:16:02 +0000 UTCI have been a subscriber for your you youtube channel for sometime now, and what got me to finally come here is basically I enjoye "hanging out" -for the lack of a better word- and ended up discovering new stuff and liking watching things with you for the first time here 😀, to make a long story longer, my opinion is do what you want, with the amount of shit you are working with and number of videos you release and schedule, you should at least enjoyed what you are watching. . . . But at the end of the day this is a job,🫠, so if the pole ends up with isekai, I have 2 recommendations I believe you would like, one of them I know is popular and the other one is currently airing, both are not full of action but an interesting storyline, hit me up if that happens and if you are interested

I've watched more Romcoms & slice of life anime cuz what u guys been putting out. Keep doing you. A good isekai anime will be easy to find

So maybe instead of straight up isekai it’ll be more sustainable if it was just a fantasy slot

Ultimately people just want you to react to their favorite genre/show and they’ll say whatever to try and get you to do that. Even though your not watching the shows I want im glad you guys are growing and watching what yall want. Forcing you guys to watch shows you don’t want to would just lower the quality of content too.

2024-09-04 12:56:29 +0000 UTCI think what you are doing at the moment is the best option and is the best you can do going forward.About the isekais, it is more of a quality issue, there are much more isekai shows over the last few years, but the majority of them are not worth covering on a reaction channel. Yes, there will be 3-5 people asking for certain shows, but it's pointless focusing on them. If anything, I believe you are maneuvering between seasonal shows very well, and even adding shows mid-season if there is enough hype/demand for them.

I feel like K-dramas are like that now, at least for me. I like seeing y'all embrace something new like Oshi no Ko and seeing y'all truly buy into the fun of the story.
