The way she hides behind him at the end is what sold me that she’s a better match for him than Anna. She unconsciously feels that he is safe for her to hide behind, and that he can protect her. To me, she’s on the higher ground than Anna. Especially when she dares to confess despite being shy and awkward and not being spiteful after being rejected.
