I personally have seen that growing up with a Chinese mother and a black New Yorker dad. I also interview pro wrestlers and they always tell me how hard it is to wrestle in Japan because Japanese crowds are mostly quiet and hold their emotions in, and wrestlers thrive off crowd interaction, especially bad guys, and it's tough being a bad guy when the crowd is being "too respectful"
