I don't really think you can really explain how the world is stacked against you at times as a minority other than that scene with Franklin in the office. The outrage, the frustration, and honestly--the confusion. You wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?". And there's no answer that can really make things like that better. Before this episode, I really didn't understand just why Franklin wanted to start dealing. Sure, he saw the money and everything Jerome was making, but he was smart enough to do things correctly, and I couldn't buy that he just didn't want to leave his people. If what happened in the alt-reality was real, however, then I can't blame him.

2024-07-23 03:08:36 +0000 UTCOne interaction I really liked was alt-reality Franklin hooking it up with alt-reality Teddy. It sorta shows that Frank and Teddy are mirror images of each other. What set that here was them talking about how they both have the same instincts, intelligence, and educational background. Via real world, we see both have the same wit, cunning, and willingness to make it work. Of course, Teddy has the white advantage, but that's what makes him beneficial to Franklin because he can use that to cover Franklin's ass (Franklin does know how to blend in, in other worlds though. He even has experience growing up in a white neighborhood, spending most of his time in the porn valley with his buddy Rob). I like how the "other worlds" thing they kept mentioning meant both that this was another reality, but also Franklin's adaptability to any situation. Same with Teddy. Benefit of the alt reality is that Franklin (Via uncle Avi) and Teddy (via Alexandro) both didn't get mucked up in the cocaine world.
