My Weight loss Meal Strategy

Since someone ask. I normally share updates on my VlOG. Yes. I have a rediculous amount of channels lol

I have an addictive obsessive personality. It works in my favor when concentrated on the right things 😂

I go to boxing training 4x a week. I burn no less than 1000 calories per session. I stopped drinking on the regular. I used to literally be tipsy in every reaction. Hence why i no longer behave the same. I may drink only on a special occasion. I only eat carbs for breakfast and its a potato to fuel my workout out. Other than that. I eat chicken and steaks.

I would have lost more weight but i do still eat ice cream 🤤🤤🤤. Lol. But i basically have a clean diet and i burn 4000 calories a week. Currently i stepped up to 1200 calories a session. So now its 4800 calories a week because i want to keep eating ice cream lol and i want to reach my goal faster.

Also another weakness is my kids snacks. Every now and then. I eat them lol. And i may binge cuz they are delicious hahaha. Also i eat her left overs. Lol. 🤦🏾‍♂️

My Weight loss Meal Strategy

Comments

Precisely! When it's needed, it can be done.

Lmao, naw I just cook. I cook for 3 days, can't stomach eating the same thing for more days than that. Then I cook again. Tried food delivery before but cooking is just better for me.

Trayvon Brown

So I just asked for clarification

Rock Lee

Lmaoo. Never heard of it I thought it was a meal plan delivery service or something for a bit And they were delivering fiber 😭😭😭

Rock Lee

Yeah I actually just ordered a liter sized water bottle. I should probably finish two a day for my stature. Was thinking of adding a drink mix cause water is boring. Lemon might add that kick to be honest. And hydration takes care of a plethora of issues in your body as well. One day, I'll be healthy like Lee 🦶

Nu'Shadoe

Oh snap, you've never heard the phrase "get on my soapbox" basically means someones about to get preachy about a point they wanna make lol.

Trayvon Brown

I pay the same monthly regardless of how often I go. So I might as well stay consistent at boxin

Rock Lee

Yup. I’ll probably reduce boxing to twice a week and then pick up weightlifting 2 to 3 times a week

Rock Lee

I don’t take it as rude I am not familiar with “soap box”. So I just couldn’t follow well ha ha

Rock Lee

I find if you are a person who is not hydrated and you go to being well hydrated you will feel a difference in your energy level and that motivates you instantly to keep the activity going.

Rock Lee

Yep finding healthy things to be excited about. Especially things that give you immediate satisfaction if possible

Rock Lee

I see, positive reinforcement into my diet. I'll try something with Ginger and lemon water. I've been thinking of eating Salmon as my sole protein source as well. Might be time to start.

Nu'Shadoe

Naw, I just wanted to get on my soap box for a second, that's why I apologized, lol. Idk about your fiber intake. I just wanted to talk about what I do and this was the post to do it. Sorry if it came off as judgemental.

Trayvon Brown

Rather than try and resist every delicious food try incorporating a good habit that you can consistently maintain For example it could be drinking a certain amount of water every day with lemon You naturally add healthy things to your life can finally lead you to make the difficult decisions Because you’re surrounding yourself with more healthy options and it starts to change the way you think and what you are interested in

Rock Lee

I’m confused about the transition to fiber Are you noting that I’m probably not getting enough fiber in my diet ? I’m also open to any healthy feedback as well

Rock Lee

I also do not count calories consistently but I may return to it every so often when I noticed my weight has stopped going down so I can see what bad habit I picked up. For example I didn’t know until today the amount of coffee creamer I use equals 210 cal those kind of decisions can compound without without me realizing it

Rock Lee

Yeah when I go jogging it’s nowhere close to 1000 cal I don’t have the type of motivation to run it that intensity At my gym the heart rate monitor is displayed and everyone can see how hard you’re working it’s a bit competitive and the coach is yelling so that really helps I have a Russian coach lol. He doesn’t take it easy on me.

Rock Lee

That’s exactly it You got a meal plan for the week

Rock Lee

🙌🏽

Rock Lee

Everything counts I respect the grind Also nice to be able to provide another bit of motivation to the community

Rock Lee

Like I said in the previous post, inspirational Lee, and the simplicity will probably help others. When you reach your goal, and if you don't want to go as hard on the cardio, 15 minutes of HIIT every morning, 15 minutes of walking in the evening (roughly 12 k steps in a day) and 4 days of lifting along with your nutritional approach should keep you lean all year round.

Andre

On this past Dec 27th I was 328 lbs. I'm down to 267 now. Hope to reach 225 by year end. Then get down under 200 early next year. No exercise yet. Just eating sensibly.

Ken Molinaro

I'm currently on a weight loss journey myself. I do a lot of rucksack training and managed to drop down almost two shirt sizes within the span of 3 months.

Alex

I cut out soda and desserts, and I stick to 1 protein shake and 2 meals with chicken or beef + vegetables/rice and snack on fruits daily, mainly drinking water

Artiicus

Love to see it Lee, I picked up MMA and jiu-jitsu a couple months ago but my diet was not good and I wasn't consistent (2-3 times a week on a good week). I was the type to "not have time" to cook, and just eat whatever my family is getting because it was less effort. Now I'm in a calorie deficit and I'm watching my calories and meal planning (Josh Cortis on YT has really good recipes that track the nutritional values, not sponsored I swear lol) and am able to push myself to go 4-5x a week. Rn I can't drive til I get my car back so I just do boxing workouts at home instead. For the ones who also have big families and have trouble sticking to your diet/schedule, pick a day to plan and make food for the week, plus you have time to budget and it's cheaper than take-out. You can cook healthier versions of food you're craving as long as you don't go over your goals or calories for the day! Also sleep is important for recovery!

Artiicus

Usually exercise doesn’t factor in to much with weight loss because a standard cardio session would probably burn like 300-400 calories but boxing is definitely one of the best calorie burners. I think the shear intensity and frequency of those sessions were key in your impressive transformation. I’m at a point where I just want to maintain my weight but the traditional food in my culture is very calorie dense and I don’t want to give that up and I’m not trying to put in four 1000 calorie boxing sessions a week 😂 I’ve started doing a fast every Sunday, I save up all the calories to use in the week, it’s fairly difficult but it’s nice challenge to look forward to and allows me to eat all the foods I enjoy.

Aaron

You have a routine and that's great. The weight loss is very noticeable Lee! I work out 4 days a week but I do weights, CrossFit, running and Pilates and it really helps. Working out numerous times per week, plus controlling my carb and fat intake helps. I've lost a lot of weight and is more about consistency. It all helps keeping my skin flawless and it makes me be more disciplined with my self-care as well. It's a win-win in all cases. I can't count calories but I know my portions and I can estimate my macros, so it's al good 👍🏾

When I tried to only eat chicken, salmon, steak, etc., I was ravenous 🤣. I had to throw carbs in there because I was waaayyy too hungry. I eat a fruit smoothie every day with bananas, berries, oats, flaxseeds, and whey. Then I have chicken, salmon, or shrimp with either a sweet potato and beans, or some type of noodle (rice does nothing for me), and a bunch of greens. I hit my protein and fiber goals while my other macros fall where they may. Bout to get on my fiber soap box, sorry my guy, lol. (There are tons of studies showing that getting 25g of fiber a day for women & 38g for men is linked to outstanding results in all-cause mortality. If you want to live longer, get your fiber in. 95% of Americans are fiber deficient, and the fiber they do get is from eating french fries.)

Trayvon Brown

There's the mental aspect of people eating something at different times and making me wanna eat too, even if I'm not hungry. I gotta drive my family members to places and or pick up food for them which makes me want some as well. And it's pain to store healthy food and keep my own prepared food in one fridge that's shared with multiple people. Lack of space and respect for people food. And since it's a big family, we make big portion sizes so a lot of good food just idles in my face so getting 2nds is a norm. It's a lack of discipline on my side tbh but the family aspect is there lol.

Nu'Shadoe

So I could be more understanding what do other people have to do with your eating schedule?

Rock Lee

I'm tryna get like you tbh. My main problem is laziness and maneuvering my eating and schedules with a bunch of people in my family. If I lived alone, I swear it would be much easier to do this. Well done nonetheless, YOU made it happpen.
