Kdrama Poll Round 3 FINAL
Added 2024-07-18 20:38:02 +0000 UTCI've read your feedback, and as you may know, I've started a Kdrama channel: YaBoyRockLee Kdrama Channel. It's already dealing with copyrights, but it's fine. When I have 3 copyright strikes, I can't upload videos, but I can usually fight them and win after 15 days. However, that stings as you lose momentum and views overall. Having it as a separate channel takes the sting out from the overall YaBoyRockLee Channel if TVN is going to be like this more often.
This will be the 3rd Kdrama slot added, and I ask for patience in their release. Since they're unpopular within the community, I can't give them priority uploading. It's crucial they are supported on YouTube for us to continue reacting to the series.
Look, guys, this is a reaction channel, but it's also a creator business. Recording videos that make the most people happy just makes sense. But, like any business, you have niche products to keep your overall customer base happy and not fleeing to the competition.
I like Kdramas very much, and while I can always watch these unpopular shows with my wife, I want to see if they can work here. (My wife and I are currently watching The Double, which is a Chinese drama. EPIC BTW... them folks be flying)... lmao. For it to work, the views have to justify the time recorded versus other shows. Simply put, Strangers From Hell is doing better than The Bear and rivals HOD and The Boys. So, I see a world where adding thrillers and suspense shows makes sense, even for a smaller audience drowned out by the romantics.
Suggest shows HERE ON THIS POST that are suspense, thriller, horror, and NOT romance as the main element. This is why I asked you NOT to spam suggestions, so I can properly read the feedback and make adjustments for everyone.
We'll start one of these after finishing Cobra Kai and The Bear, as I'm SWAMPED with our backlog.

What I mean is focusing on this one genre will run out eventually but there are a ton of really good and decently big dramas with almost no reactions on YouTube. Not sure if it's cause they are older and people are just trying to keep up with the newer stuff. But Healer is a action romance that is a pretty big show and I can't find a full season reaction same for K2.

I love all the characters, even the main villain, he's bad but I somewhat get why.

They're both rated highly on the "mydramalist" website, as are the other 4 dramas I mentioned earlier!

It had me up in the middle of the night binge watching it. I actually just watched it this year. I've seen lots of other C dramas but my sister convinced me to watch and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Though I'm hoping for Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim, I would love to see some of these shows below that arent romance, not all of them are specifically thrillers but still very intense stories: Taxi driver Big Mouth Tomorrow (very great show extremely underrated) Black Night Flower of Evil Vigilante Ive also heard Mouse is very good its on my list to watch.

The Rise of Phoenixes is an amazing C-Drama I would defo recommend, though probably a bit long for a reaction looll

Looking forward to some suspense: Happiness: It’s studio dragon so not many reactions out on youtube, but I saw a few channels (much) smaller than yours which had about 22-37K views on the first episode. Also, it did pretty well on one of the previous Patreon polls. Of course there is some romance, but it’s not the main plot, I don’t want to spoil anything by saying more. (2021) Tomorrow: by Studio N, not many reactions out on yt, found a small channel get 8K views on the first episode. Google says it’s fantasy, I find it hard to classify: wouldn’t call it thriller or horror either, perhaps psychological… idk. (2022) Big Mouth: also studio dragon, couldn’t find any other reactions on yt either no one has tried it yet or they have been copy striked. Genre: crime. I thought it was pretty popular when it came out (2022). Looking forward to whatever you choose! I’ll keep my romance suggestions to myself for now 🙃

Facts, the romance crew been eating good, now we gotta feed the suspense/thriller base, that’s why I mentioned a palate cleanser between the last couple shows and you get better coverage. Shows like Healer, Signal, Stranger, Mask Girl, Watcher, Happiness, Vagabond, Beyond Evil and Mouse would all be great picks
