Shangri-La Frontier Episode 1-25 Anime Reaction | Yaboyrocklee

Would appreciate your support on this.

For those who are not subscribed with $$$ on Patreon, this is my first experiment pushing copyright-strict material as one big video. If it works out, some of the exclusive shows could be done this way. If not, 🤷🏽‍♂️

What I’m aiming for is watch time. When the video is combined, it disproportionately gets lower watch time than when posted individually. Less watch time equals less money. Without enough watch time, the editing cost won’t make it worthwhile.

For example, this video has an average watch time of 16 minutes. A normal anime reaction has eight minutes. So, while this is 25 times the length, the watch time is only 2 times. I understandable if your habit is to select the scenes you want to watch the most, and you only have so much time to sit on YouTube. My thoughts are that the same people would keep watching this video throughout the week when they have time, which would increase its average watch time per user.

Time will tell.

That’s fine. Like to be totally blunt. It doesn’t matter why people skip parts of the video. As a virgin you have the right to just do that. All that matters is whether they skip or not and how that impacts performance

My first thought was that you were doing a rewatch before season 2 drops in the fall. But trying something new is a novel way to do things too. And I generally will watch 75% of the show with you guys and listen to commentary after. Pre-episode recaps are skipped mostly because I'm a manga reader for a lot of the shows I like watching the reactions for.

The hardest struggle I notice with these videos is picking between editing each episode "equally" or completely skimming some episodes to allow more watchtime on the "iconic" parts. I get both merits, but the best approach are always to edit it similar to how movies get edited to tell the most consistent and concise story.

lol, in this case, these videos were already edited fortunatley...so i am seeing how they go before the real loss ha ha

Trying new things is scary but if it pays off in the end that's a win and if not it's a life lesson not a loss. 😉
