But that said, the scene is definitely incredibly intimate with them literally and metaphorically supporting each other and it would be crazy to jump on someone for reading it romantically.

I don't mind whether they get together in the show or not, as long as it's written well. what I enjoy most about the show is the relationships within the team or even the little bits of past relationships we can glean like Michael and the Beef crew. I hope they don't drop the ball on that.

But yeah I know it's definitely not a race thing. On an unrelated note, I just love you guys reaction and channel like a lot, kinda like my fav.

In my case, I agree Syd and Carmy are very similar and work well together but romantically I think someone with Carmy's issues/emotional instability (dunno what term to use) needs someone to ground him, not another high strung person to stimulate him further. Whatever environment leads to your issues, you need the opposite environment to heal imo. It's more about Carmy ruining a good thing than a problem with Syd herself. It's just painful to see him in self sabotage mode when given how reasonable Claire is, any issues could just be talked out.

Loved the end discussion and you you guys are right: the scene under the table felt like foreplay of sorts with then screwing/fixing the table, switching positions, talking about their fears... Hahaha, it is so wild and I love it.

Idk it's just like it's fine if you don't want any romantic relationships and stuff but being so adamantly like against only those 2 getting together in the show is just a but weird but like yeah maybe that's just me. I don't really care if they do end up together or not, I don't mind either way I just want them to still have great chemistry and vibes.

We really get to see the pay off for a lot of the character arcs, like Tina getting her appreciation and being new Syd/sous, Richie in front of house (he's actually always been well-read if you pay attention to his lines), even Fak changing but not so much he doesn't know where a screwdriver is. And some nostalgic call-backs enhance the mood like the our lady of victory prayer from the start of ep 6, or Ebra acccepting the servsafe training like he did hos role in the brigade. It's also incredibly cathartic for Syd and Carmy to really talk for the first time this season. They've just been doing the sorry signal and never going back to address their issues later.
