Remember the whole fight where Aemond lost his eye, he had gone to claim Vhagar, Laena's dragon and Rhaena said her mother's dragon should be hers, not his. Also, you'll remember when they were still in Pentos, Daemon gave a lot more attention to Baela and Rhaena told Laena she thinks it's because she doesn't have a dragon (the night Rhaena was sitting by the fireplace warming her egg hoping it would hatch). The small dragons she's talking about belong to Rhaenyra's younger children.

Rhaenys is cool, but telling her to talk to Alicent makes zero sense. Alicent prefers peace too, but you killed the king's young son, at this point there is nothing that Rhaenyra or Alicent can say to the king. Even if Alicent now realises she messed up in misinterpreting Vyseris words, it's not like she can say "alright, son, I misheard, time to give up the throne". It's too late for all that. All that is left is blood and fire unfortunately.

I know he loves his "grandson" Joffery but please choose one of Daemon's daughters, his actual granddaughters, to be the heir to Driftmark. If he's gonna back Rhaenyra as queen he can surely back one of his granddaughters to be his heir.

2024-07-03 01:15:18 +0000 UTCYeah, if you think about it logically, the last scene doesn't really make sense. Children have been murdered, and tit-for-tats have been exchanged. Why does Rhaenyra think Alicent has any power to stop this? Aegon is king, and his son was murdered; he'd never give the throne up. She knows Cole is on the march and that Aemond has Vhaegar. Why would they just stop? It made Rhaenyra look like an idiot, imo. Also, it made Alicent look dumb as well since she can end the war right now by just calling her guards. She's putting her children at risk by letting Rhaenyra escape, which is what she's all about. If it's too late, like she said, then just end the war right now.

Alicent has zero power which at most is as an advisor so even if rhaenyra did win her over at the end this whole mission was still pointless. Rhaenyra is coming off as real scary and incompetent this episode just like daemon said last episode and I kinda thought he was tripping but now…
