2024-07-01 14:00:21 +0000 UTCIt was perfectly clear to me, he says the story is irrelevant because he’s never been punished Idk about your second point though, I checked the fan and official translation of the manga and he just says he feels no hatred but not specifically from the master like your subtitles(he also doesn’t say the masters name in Japanese in the episode during the scene from what I hear), and both line up with him later describing how basically the place just has a weird calming effect on him, like he’s saying he feels no hatred and instead has a familiar feeling which is odd

The version I watched, it was obvious Muzan didn't believe Ubuyashiki's story about his family being cursed, because he himself had received no divine punishment. The wording here didn't make that as clear, at least it didn't seem like it. Muzan also said here, "there's no hate brimming in me"... the version I watched, he said he could sense no hate coming from Ubuyashiki... that makes more sense considering what he said later on.
