Imagine letting things get /that close/ to destruction and still holding back.

2024-07-15 01:44:53 +0000 UTCI do find it funny that in the meeting with Mina the generals made a big deal about Kafka using kaiju powers when the defense force is literally built around using kaiju powers. Kafka effectively has a numbers suit built into his body and the only real difference is it doesn't require help from the operations team so it just felt dumb, especially since there are officers with kaiju implants. It was also weird that they claimed all of his success was due to his kaiju powers despite specifically mentioning his success at finding the kaiju's weaknesses on the fly on the battlefield which had nothing to do with his powers just seconds prior. It was just really poorly done and accomplished nothing storytelling wise. Of all the anime only content they added this was the only one that just didn't fit or make any sense.

I feel like you have to be able to suppress or overtake the kaiju's personality so to speak to be able to use its power. it feels bleach like. kinda like it goes off the same principles as vizards. at least for the numbered weapons

Based on the augmented big boi fungus unit, as well as him just evaporating from the scene into particles, I assume he's a fungus-type Kaiju, so I assume the one at the PC is just spore propagation into an extended unit (like how all the "mushrooms" in a forest are technically 1 entity, since the mushrooms AREN'T them, but their dicks basically; their real main body is the mycelium network underground connecting all members of the same type into 1 entity essentially). Honestly I'm not surprised that a fungus-type kaiju would be the R&D dude of the kaiju faction, since fungal lifeforms are stereotypically in many fantasy & sci-fi settings displayed as hivemind type lifeforms
