Repetitive Motion is a real-ish thing btw (like 90% of the demon slayer techniques) though I know it as 'adrenal dumping' but the principle is the same; you imagine your worst fear right over your shoulder and basically convince yourself its real. When I first learned it as a kid I'd imagine a xenomorph from 'Alien' over my shoulder, it made a huge difference in my sprint times and discus throw distance. Its a form of self-hypnosis and its easier if you condition it to a phrase or movement. Mike Tyson famously uses something similar where he enters 'battle mode' when the gloves touch and the bell rings, though he was taught that by his first coach and its not self-hypnosis.
