Yuki actually says to Kagali that while Orthus (slave organisation) is under his control he does not like slavery and only kept it because the slave market would still be there so he might as well profit. He very cold and buisness in that way very CEO like lmao When Rimuru said they could claim it was a draw he also right after in the LN he says that he could just claim he lost and than everyone would protest because it would hurt Tempest too much. They cut it out from Rimuru's dialogue for no reason, but the crusader just said it so it felt weird.

Every human culture until relatively recently has engaged in slavery to some degree and there are even animals like Samurai Ants that enslave other animals, so its weirder to think this world doesn't already have a slave trade and makes me think there's likely something even darker at play. This world has curses like Shizu's that can enforce slavery so there being no slave trade when humans are shitbags by nature is what's weird to me.
