2024-06-02 15:31:42 +0000 UTCthe togame and choji conversation was so good I didn't even realize the sand to glass part, good job they both took accountability, didn't shift the blame to the other, apologized to each other, emphasized with each other (choji's "it must've hurt, it must've been tough, sorry" really hit me, kudos to the VA) (throwback to Suo's lesson on growing up) the ending was funny cuz Umemiya was never planning on taking over this mess of a gang in the first place. It ended up being a show, fitting to take place in a theater edit: fight-wise, it didn't have as much of an animation as last ep because ume wasn't really trying to seriously fight choji but rather figure out what's going on while choji isn't at full potential cuz his fists were weightless. so i can kinda understand people being disappointed in that aspect but still, the main point of this fight wasnt the fight action but the emotional part, a start to healing the emptiness in choji.

POWERFUL

2024-06-02 08:16:01 +0000 UTCThis episode showed us that if the director knows what he wants to portray to his viewers, he can make a point without having the viewers read the whole scene in stories. A lot of times when an anime or show wanted to portray something and people missed what was conveyed is not because of the show is unable to convey, but the director doesnโt know how to convey it properly. Hence why LN readers are always complaining that the anime doesnโt portray a certain scene how the LN intended.
