2024-05-29 02:44:59 +0000 UTCThey've already been doing a lot. Apparently, this episode only adapted a page and a half from the manga, which was Tanjiro showing up, then immediately cutting to him leaving 10 days later. Everything other than those scenes were entirely anime-original content.

On a Serious note: I'm loving the fact Demon Slayer is giving the characters more interactions and character development.

2024-05-28 02:11:12 +0000 UTCI think the haters are mostly manga readers upset that (in their mind) they're stretching out this mini-arc to be a whole season instead of "getting to the good part." But really, they should be looking at it as Ufotable fleshing out a weaker arc and giving us more setup and development for what's to come so it's more impactful and we care more when it does start.
