Added 2024-05-11 23:32:49 +0000 UTCQuestion...since this anime is so poltical...do you guys read real politics? i'm curious cuz folks often try to escape real life and i find this show so relatable ha...I enjoy reading about whats going on in Russia or China, Japan, Turkey, France, Germany, Both Koreas etc as relates to foreign policy and military hardware...
Second...for this reason this Meetings are entertaining cuz i relate to them...but i would still perfer more action in the show...This is a classic example of why i have fun watching a show yet can have things i am unsatisfied about...I can sit and go...wow this whole season is meetings.....booooo
Or I can go...Yo this is a bunch of meetings JUST Like real life ha ha ha...you really can't have wars without meetings in the first place...The anime is just like life!
I focus on the perspective that brings the most joy...
I dont listen to country music...but i have been to the Dixie Road house several times in Cape Coral and had a blast..cuz thats just what i do...lol..
that being said...if i cancel a show....Like Ninja Kamui and Devil is a part timer season 2.....that means it just doesn't cut it...lol...and i have continued shows that get no views like 3 bodys problem..
So these 2 things can exist at once...I want more fighting....I can enjoy what i get...i already accepted reading the show is 80% politics from what you say..
Hopefully you are fine with the transparancy and enjoy our commentary and banter making each show as fun as possible to watch because we have each other #poweroffriendship to watch slime ha ha ha

Talk no jitsu is just as important honestly. 🤔

Anyway it's Light Novel story and many of them have lot of stuff that isn't always action only. Ps. What Veldora was reading I only recognized Marchen from the 4, but in Japan it's reverse so the front cover of what he was reading was that Maid and 4 panels were just ads for other stories I think.

I consider it part of the worldbuilding, as you can get a lot about a character from how they contribute (or don't, like Veldora) to a meeting rather than always fighting or romance.

I love that slimes goes into details to fix the very real problems they have and deal with other nations makes it more real. However with how they are adapting the LN they have given this arc and episodes or 2 too much. Still love it and a lot more action coming now :)

Feels like so far this season they are drawing out the other perspectives too much for me. Feels like some of this would have done better before Clayman fight.

2024-05-11 23:51:29 +0000 UTCPolitics can be interesting but for my own sanity I try to make time for it, and time away from it when I can. I think concerning slime specifically, its sort of the nature of this story originally being a light novel. Reading descriptions of only fight scenes gets pretty old so the story builds up the world and political intrigue to set up the climax of story arcs and conclude with fights and conflict and I think the ebb and flow really works cause the political stuff is always setting up things for later too. Understanding why the fighting is happening makes it overall more interesting.

2024-05-11 23:41:22 +0000 UTCI enjoy the politics in this anime BECAUSE it's not real life, politics in real life just get me down, but here I get excited because I know everything will end up good, and it's a power fantasy through and through, so that's why I enjoy it so much.. and trust me, if you're looking for action, the next 2 seasons will be almost nothing but that.. this season is definitely the "meeting" season according to the source material
