My last two years of HS would have been completely different had I watched Toradora before Junior year... Can't wait to see your guy's thoughts on the end.

I think Ryuji is terrified that Yasuko will work herself to death LITERALLY for his sake. And if she did he'd be an orphan truly. She's his ONLY parent and losing her too would be devastating. I think that fear is his primary drive for not wanting to go to college. He feels the same way as her. Like anything should be sacrificed for them. I really can't blame him for just being a kid scared his mom will die for his sake
