Unfortunately I had to witness the aftermath of what Franklin (real life name Freeway Rick) and the CIA to for the community (as you already see, Franklin gets his keys from Avi, who gets cheap coke from Alejandro and Teddy). Cocaine more expensive and not as strong, but, you won't get as addicted. It is actually considered a medicine in medical work. Cocaine works as an anastetic when rubbed on wounds. And in fact, it was sold in supermarkets as medicine under the name "Coca Cola" (yes coke and diet coke used to have coke in it. Hence why it's called coke).

Its messed up that is mother sending him to a better school for a better education was a heavy influence on the path Franklin went down. If he just went to a normal black high school he probably would have went to college and got a decent job. But he went to dominate white school, graduated top of his class and still felt like he was below everybody. That's when he realized he will never be in a position of power within the current system
