The OG anime's transformation is a lot cooler - but this is definetly a much better adaptation.

2024-06-10 19:49:13 +0000 UTCI can answer this! 1. The original anime drew her with sharper features 2. Her 2008 design is closer to a maned wolf, the remake is closer to a Shiba Inu. Fun fact, 50% of a maned wolfs' diet is a fruit called the "wolf apple". They're from South America though, everything else about Holo is probably more befitting to Norse influence

2024-05-15 07:58:48 +0000 UTCI never got around to watch the original of this show. I've had it on my list for ages but just never got to it. After watching this along with ya'll I finally decided to watch the original as well. Episode by episode, just to stay to the one's yall have reacted to so far. There was something in the original anime that I noticed in regards to this episode and I'm not quite sure if it's just that maybe this episode is a standard cut version and if it releases on bluray or something it'll have an uncut version. But in the scene where Holo is about to transform into her true form where you can see her teeth right after she bites him, the way she's drawn/animated is done differently. The way the original did it kind of made her look a bit more, what's the right way to say it, wild? animalistic? feral?. I don't know the best way to describe it. Basically she looked more terrifying. Which only further enhanced how fearful Lawrence felt. You can probably find the scene on youtube if anyone wants to see for themselves and draw your own thoughts on it. Keep up the good reactions, I'm glad ya'll gave me a reason to finally watch this show.

2024-05-08 05:40:49 +0000 UTCI can understand why Holo is mad and disappointed with Laurence. After all this is the 2nd time she showed him her true form. Not to mention she did it to protect him. Thereβs nothing so disappointing when the one youβre protecting showed such fear of you. But I wouldnβt blame Laurence for being scared of her too. He just saw her turning into a wolf and going wild stamping everyone in her path, only to come back and seemingly biting someone he knew in front of him. If I was him, I wouldnβt know whether sheβs still in her sane mind set or sheβs bloodthirsty by then. Furthermore she towered over him in that form after she just bite the final guy. Fear that sheβs just animalistic at that point is understandable.
