2024-05-04 02:26:03 +0000 UTCOne thing is for certain, "We live to die." As cruel as this fact is, God saw fit to give us the one thing that would comfort us most; The Gift of Memory. Losing your complete memory leaves you to be a shell of a person. Once again, the writers found a way to avoid the familiar amnesia tropes. They made it difficult for her to choose the surgery and her memory is actually gone. Man this episode was a lot. On another note...@YBRL as an adult with ADHD I immediately understood what you were saying regarding your memory and reading out loud. For ADHDers, it's called APD (Auditory Processing Disorder) where we can clearly hear what is being said, it just takes a bit longer for our brain to process it; thus, the awkward silence before responding. We are processing it. LOL We also speed read while speaking things out loud so by the time our brain catches up with our eyes, we can remember what we just read. It sounds strange to those without ADHD but for us, it's our reality. Speaking while reading is one of our best strategies for remembering. :)
