I just realized that they turned Lawrence's guy friend into a female in the original adaptation of this story and turned it into a love triangle where the childhood friend loses to the new girl and tries to kill the new girl for revenge. I'm liking this version better. It's much deeper than the shallow shitshow that was the second half of the original adaptation.
