Even though Franklin didn't have his dad with him as a positive father figure, he thankfully surrounded himself with positive male figures. Jerome may be the best anime dad ever in a series. He's so animated, but the actor does a great job conveying that he's trying to be a positive figure in his life. Franklin has the fictional Oso luchador as more of a heroic role model. He's even developing at this point a uncle-nephew relationship with crazy, but wise Avi.
