episode wise, i think minorin realized that she had feelings for ryuji and ami helped her gain confidence. .and then minorin started to feel guilty because she sees that taiga also has feelings she hasn't confronted and ryuji keeps making her waver so her solution is to cut it off before it gets more painful for her because she doesn't want to lose her friend. that's how i understood it. among other things, like her messing up during the game because she has been so distracted and that was a huge deal for her. she cost them the game because she let herself get wrapped up in emotions and i think it's just the culmination of all those things has her confused and stressed so she's making the executive choice to focus on her goals.
