I wanna mention its now 3 months after the fact. It may now be too late to cover and i am full.
But would have jumped on it if i knew how many people were happy watching reactions to this shows.
Seeing that it does well on others is it indicator, while not always accurate that will also do well when I post it.
It shows there is an active community for it as far as reactions go, and my videos will benefit by being recommended to people who already watching those videos.
First entry has its rewards, but has the risks of posting without confirmation data while missing something or else people are watching and being “stuck with a bad performing product “

2024-04-21 14:22:08 +0000 UTCI mean I did try to recommending it but then the comments as usual kept dogging on the show so it made it harder to recommend if other are just complaining what the point 🤷🏾♂️and as for the YT analytics I woulda mentioned them if they were actually good consistently but sum reactors ended up dropping the show and got flagged on YT even ED anime was almost gunna drop it and Joe only ever posted the whole show on Patreon so it was even more discouraging to ask y’all to watch it but that’s just me

For sure you can't target every demographic and american cartoons/japanese ones don't have the same audience for the most part. Not surprised about those movies getting a lot of views but it's basically the sole indian movies your average Westerner would know (at least in my own circle). Yeah i'm 100% on agreement on the fact that every Patreon comes from Youtube, i also did. But i searched for an older anime and found you, never would have if you only had recent animes since i don't search reaction for those (now fair point, i don't believe to be part of the majority and that's better to me lol). No worries there, a discussion would be pointless if you agreed on everything; it's the basis of a discussion : hell it would even have the opposite effect and make me wonder your honesty otherwise. And about your number of Patreon/Youtube' subscribers, i'm honestly not surprised and was indeed not confident in this low number since you do invest a lot more on the Patreons side of things (can't compare on Youtube) than every other reactor. I wouldn’t expect it to matter, so i just underestimated a figure said something because anything over 1000 fell in line with my point. I just wanted folks to know its a lot of people. If they knew what my numbers are they would actually be asking me for advice. We have a smaller YouTube channel and surpass them on $$$. The only channel in my weight class that is blowing me out the water is Sorta Stupid. I happen to also believe they reach a different demographic that i can’t compete with. They do American cartoons that i am not interested in 😭😭. So also know that I don’t do any and everything for views I’m still trying to make sure I like the shows I even subscribe to other content creators to gather information. I never comment or mooch their subscribers though 2 additional things because you said Indian reactions are niche. Many reactions are but RRR AND KGF are some if my highest viewed videos ever. That audience just doesn’t spend money on reactions. They did generate a lot of Adsense to now reconsider. Last 100% of patreons come front YouTube. So no matter how we go about it. Patreons only discover me by coming across a video of me on YouTube. So i always have to have a content strategy that speaks to both YouTube and patreon. Also I appreciate you challenging the post I hope you don’t feel anyway with my counter responses Some people just can’t handle it

I'm gonna give you an exemple of another patreon creator that i enjoy watching : Semblance of Sanity. They are just short of 200k on Youtube. Now, my point may be moot if that's not your stats for Patreon lol but they're above 6 000 on Patreons and generating 17k/month with ONLY anime (making this point because i guess you got more than a few patreons here mixed in for the KDrama) and yet i bet you have never heard of more than HALF of the animes they reacted to. It's certainly not what patreons here would recommand, bet a lot of them as well don't know those animes at all, yet they do manage to have quite a lot of patreons for the content they're creating (maybe 1/3 of what you do each month) + they're simply putting timer based reaction so no risk about any strike on patreon's side. Just to give you a Patreon example since you like to compare (now i don't have your patreon's revenue but you can take what you want from it, it's always interesting to get stats i think).

Yeah, i get your side and i see how you operate between Patreon and Youtube to try to get new subs and i understand trying to get the algorythm up to simply be seen (which is obviously necessary for growth). I know you get my point but while i may be talking for myself, i still strongly believe Patreons subscribers are a totally different species from people watching edited and cut short Youtube videos. You just need to get people to see one video of you on Youtube to show your personnality on something they actually liked; searched for and you can hook them for years to come on that subscription as long as the catalogue you propose is a bit revelant to what they came for (and you actually truly ENJOY what you're watching, if you don't i don't know if everyone can tell but i'd say that it shows and not gonna lie, it irks to see someone forcing themselves to watch something lol).

Let alone people who react to the ehole series, most of the time you see a condensed reaction for the entire series in one 46 min block...so we have limited options, and when the options are limited, the demand rises. I personally blame the lack of support for Peaky Blinders for creating the anxiety about starting a new show without proper followings. Also to piggyback on another comment from earlier, I 100% agree that there are people who strictly watch patreon reactions and not youtube edits and vice versa. At the end of the day, I'm sure most of the ogs on the patreon side know this by now and just gave up on a lot cause we understand how capitalism works. I respect the grind and appreciate the work you put in, Lee. Beggars can't be choosers as far as I'm concerned, I'm just happy with what makes it through the trenches at all.

Thats how twinkling got on the menu. In this particular case there was not a lot of people talking about this show but I would’ve given it more attention had the YouTube analytics been mentioned. Also I talk to you enough to know that you care about my preferences, so you do not need to change your habits. When i see your name. I already understand your recommended ing something you like and anticipate to do well for the channel Since I know that whenever I see your name recommending a show I stop to pay attention to what it is. Thats how the other guy got his suggestion through. I stopped to read Blackhawk and noticed a suggestion near his name. Cuz i just skim through for things to catch my attention

The only time it didn’t happen was when i covered Indian films and havnt touched them since hahaha. I do measure the correlation of where subs in are coming from and at what point the patreon needle moves. There is also truth that patrons are more likely to sub for legacy shows, But if the algorithm does not push the video I will not get those types of subscribers, So I have to deploy a mix of content classics and new. As you see Toradora is currently posting Without a YouTube audience, Every now and then I have an opportunity to cover a western live or something else but the point is despite the video I will continue to cover Classics or shows with a powerful base space allows.

It’s relative and arbitrary. I can tell you Joe getting 1 views or less is too small to consider. Some seasons 4,000 views is a lot others can be 8000 views. Depends how many shows are competing and i am looking at the highest in this bunch

You’ve said as much in the past about how that goes down and I completely understand and respect that process. The problem is sometimes when it comes to shows .There’s not always a lot of reactions to it especially in the beginning but that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s no audience for it . For example crash landing on you or it’s okay not to be okay or even moving . Not many YouTubers react to it but people still showed up and watched you guys reacting to it. I think sometimes it’s hard to either recommend or suggest a show in part at least because of that

Picked my horse and I'll back that horse until the wheels fall off. So this advice doesn't work for me, however, I'm ok if my show doesn't get picked 🙃 you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. The results will speak for themselves at the end of the day.

Personal opinion : it is a really generic show (i did read quite a bit of the source material way before and the anime is even worse). 2. That anime may generate some views right now, so i guess if you want to please some people on Patreon and Youtube it may have been rentable for you in the immediate time frame of its airing. 3. But that kind of show is not well-known, the source material is clearly not something selling really well. 4. Thus i highly doubt a lot of people one or two years from now will be talking about it and i also have great doubts about the fact that some people would write : "Ragna Crimson anime reaction" on Youtube and discover you. Now maybe a lot of your Patreons are different, but to begin with, i watch reactions in order to rewatch something i liked in the past and i'm almost never watching a new show i know nothing about with you : if i like it i would rather watch on my own and i may watch want to rewatch it in some years, but certainly not when it's airing \o/. Anyway, that's my essay on the question professor.

Shows just airing that will generate some moderate views (people just watched ep1, don't know how it'll go afterwards, and yet immediately recommand it) 2. Shows really well-known, recognised for a good time now, and which have a source material already selling well or which did sell crazy numbers at his time (talking for exemple about really well noted shows in general, which get awards, etc..). In my mind, just choosing your shows based on the classment of the number of views yearly on streaming sites and those shows' rating would be the best way to grow, especially on Patreon since i don't think people watching reaction on Youtube are the same ones on Patreon (i'm not even subscribed on your Youtube and the sole reason i'm here is because i wanted to rewatch an old show, searched for a reaction to that particuliar show on Youtube, and thus found your Patreon and i'm paying since then lol).
