2024-04-21 12:44:37 +0000 UTCYeah Lubelius is basically a hugeass ranch run by Vampires, not unlike the shit we do w/ Wagyu cattle, except w/ less slaughtering (since all you need is some degree of blood, you can just run shit like blood donation campaigns etc & have citizens do that shit regularly. Sure, since the vampires technically feed on life energy, not specifically the blood itself per se, it might result in some degree of slight truncation of lifespan on average, but well worth the cost to not live like shit like your avg pissant in most of the other nations who get clapped by random monsters etc, or are told to go die in some shithole as peasant levies etc. Basically kinda the sort of thing as Whole Cake Island in One Piece, but less hunger pang fuckery going on daily etc) overall. It's quite logical for the religion to be anti-monster, since all the asshole monsters clapping humans literally are destroying the food larder that is owned by the vampires, so it makes sense to have this type of arrangement from all POVs, even for the ones in the know

2024-04-14 20:58:45 +0000 UTCRoy was being used as a villain by the church that they could point at and say "This is what we're fighting against" but he's dead now so his brother Louis suggesting bringing Rimuru in to fill that role but Lubelius shot that idea down because Rimuru wants to live an easy life and to do that he needs human cooperation.
