The show is not only honoring the legacy of the original series but its merging stories from the comics also seamlessly too. I was surprised that they went down the whole magneto and rogue relationship thing . It’s controversial pairing. In the prequel x-men movies they do briefly have a relationship. In alternate timelines they share two grandchildren

2024-04-13 23:23:24 +0000 UTCYeah from what I've learned they never even liked eachother in the comics but people really like to pair them together, it gets confusing cause the movies allude to them having a relationship in the past but idk where the source material is? I even got confused until I realized they actually just worked together but had different philophies. In one universe they do share a grandchild which is ironic. I think this show is really setting the record straight on what the movies didn't really explain. I'm really excited to see more of this story.

Also, it's kinda petty (especially Magneto) but not too petty that it branches off into annoying. And like you said when it's time for business they don't let that affect how they act.

I hate love triangles and don't think I've ever seen a good one and now this show has given us two that I actually like, lol. It's one of my main gripes with The Legend of Korra's early seasons, if you've seen that.

Rogue is one of magneto’s more serious love interest. He at one time even proposed marriage to her . In the comics they’re always off and on much like her and gambit. In truth a lot of the x-men have always had relationships with other members of the x -men . For instance Scott always cheated on Jean grey with either Madelyne or Emma frost etc or professor x being in love with Jean grey or something
