They seem like high Schoolers where in TR Mikey was still in middle school. 🤔 I also love how the whole shopping district is 100% behind them and supportive! 🤗

The comment about him being a cat by the other gang dude feels like a reference to him being almost exactly like Kyo Sohma from Fruits Basket. Naturally odd looks, aggressively tsundere but kind, and wanting to prove himself through strength, but really wanting a family.
