I don’t have much hope for humans someday somebody gonna nuke somebody and then it’s a wrap most likely. As for governing lesser races we only have ourselves as example and they are aliens. I just think it would be more interesting if the Viltrumites weren’t lying at all. That’s how I would write it.

Plus the arguments Anissa used is the same rhetoric many empires have used to justify the conquest and subjugation of other less advanced species. And I don't get why people believe that advanced civilization automatically means a peaceful race when our own history has demonstrated that much of our advanced discoveries were in the service of or funded by conflict. The fact that Viltrumites culled half of their population purely for being too weak already shows that their views already run in contrast to the welfare of other races. No race that views others as inferior ever truly governs that race fairly or peacefully. Like I get jokingly agreeing with Anissa because she's hot and sounds vaguely intelligent (though I personally absolutely despise her) but the show is so unsubtle in showing that the Viltrumites are full of it that it worries me that people miss the point and fall for it so easily.

2024-03-31 07:56:53 +0000 UTCWe haven’t seen what a planet under viltrum looks like yet (this may be for good reason) but I think in general, for a species to get to the space faring stage of civilization without killing themselves off they have to be “peaceful”. The viltrumites are very pragmatic and logical. The civil war that purged the weak viltrumites was for the good of the species and them spreading the empire is for the good of the universe. Like they’re just Cecil’s mindset spread over a galactic and aeonic scale. And…if the logical thing to do is to wipe out your species and strip mine your planet for resources…tough luck.

Check the user reviews, because it seems like a lot of customers of the Viltrumites are giving 1 star reviews. She sounds like every dictactorship/cult/MLM ever. I'm pretty sure Fire Lord Sozin said that same bullshit. If an expansionist empire is talking about how well your problems, beware. They'll take you for everything you have like a "Nigerian Prince".
