(uncut) Reacher S2 Ep 5

Comments

The writer tried really hard to make us doubt Swan, but I stuck with Reacher's gut all the way.

Every episode I watch I keep asking myself if Reacher suffers from Alexithymia (a neuropsychological condition characterized by significant challenges in recognizing, expressing, and describing one's own emotions). I've seen several shows with characters who suffer from this condition. IDK just a thought. On S2 Ep1 when Reacher was in the thrift shop buying clothes and stood opposite the cashier, I finally understood just how massive this actor is. I had an idea but man oh man he is huge. I have to give Kudos to the writers because just based on Reacher's size, this show has the potential to be cheesy and filled with tropes about a tall muscle muscle-headed character who beats everyone up. We have seen it far too many times. The writer did a great job of avoiding that narrative using his build to bring Reacher's character to fruition. This is especially true since he is the complete opposite of Tom Cruise.

Maybe it's me knowing the actor but I thought when a character played by a British actor mocks American naming conventions in a British accent and the Americans response is F your King, it can easily be deciphered where the character is from.
