2024-04-02 12:46:50 +0000 UTCWow I just realized why I like Kdramas so much even if most of them are corny as hell, but these stories always have good men and in a way very low amount of dissing stupidly men or blaming men for everything in their stories. They have amazing dads and bad dads, but main thing is that they have both. Western entertainment has gone to shit as they almost never anymore appreciate at all what men do for society. Uuf sorry for long random rant, just had to put this to words =)

Not only is Ha Yi Chan like the main character from the anime Slam Dunk, but he's also like Kita in that he's not good at the guitar despite being a good singer. Not to mention, he has to also get trained by this shows "Guitar Hero" in Ha Eun Gyeol

2024-03-01 09:05:38 +0000 UTCregarding the beginning discussion: i would agree i don’t think yichan/lee chan has lost all of his happiness or spark i would also agree he’s just an older more mature version of himself. i still see that spark and silly corny but charming energy in him but at the same time it’s still sad in ways because of just how lively and talkative he was as a teenager. especially for eungyeol to see. and of course he’s clearly lived a happy life and was able to deal with what happened to him well and adapt and also meet the love of his life and have an amazing family but it’s clear from the way he unintentionally pressures eungyeol and almost looks down on himself for not hearing (even while saying he doesn’t want people looking down on his family) that there’s a part of him that hasn’t made peace with it 100%. which makes sense because he spent the first 18 years of his life knowing what it’s like to hear and speaking and suddenly it was taken away from him. i really like how this show addresses it btw! there’s a fine line that can cross over to ableism when shows, movies etc address disabilities and gladly i never felt this show crossed that line or tackled it in a less than ideal way.
