Added 2024-02-16 19:34:05 +0000 UTCI know some folks were against this reaction because it was cliche or whatever, i won't state how far i got, but most of the episodes are binge worthy and this is 100% the type of show i like...to me...Acliche is not bad IF EXECUTED PROPERLY.
Also here is a thought but it kinda doesn't matter cuz i am here to serve you guys with what you like....
Many of the Kdrama dropes are not cliche to me cuz i think i've only seen about 15-17 shows so far. I think?
So it's all relatively still fresh to me.
On average i we watch 20 episodes worth of dramas a month.
We are on track to react to 16 a year if nothing changes and a few movies when possible.
I've only watched One on my own, Some lady wanted revenge for her dead husband, became a tutor. The grand mother of the tutored child was played by Kim Mi-kyung.
Anyways i might start writing of shows that will never win a poll like Vagabond and watch them on my own cuz i will never be able to react to them all lol.
I was talking to director...unlike Anime which is a type of TV proudct in Japan that is animated.....
kdramas are straight up just regular TV in South Korea, so there are a lot of us to choose from lmao...so there will never be a shortage of content
Anways thats my thoughts...hopefully this show doesnt end poorly. ha ha ha and i eat my words......

2024-02-20 02:16:25 +0000 UTCAlso, I’m pretty critical about shows—but the thing is, many maaaany stories adopt the same tropes; it’s what you do with it that makes it good. I’m only on episode 2 of this show, and hooked because of its tone, its main actress (because she’s phenomenal), and its story. It’s still compelling enough to keep you. I don’t mind predictability, especially if I love the cast. I’m already claiming ji-hyuk as her new husband, and I’m selfishly hoping the show time skips to a happy successful married life with him in while strategically rubbing it in her enemy’s faces. Anddd omg, her “best friend” is absolute hot garbage. Her little “aegyo” fascade makes her so ugly.

Many people don’t understand our taste or don’t care. I think a portion just want their show covered hahaha. Its fine it really is. As long as people are equally tolerant that we too have opinions

You should know by now what reactor enjoys what based off their reactions from other shows. “Cliche” isn’t going to deter Lee from a kdrama. The kdrama world is still very new for him. Think about shows in the way that he would enjoy—not just what you would enjoy.

2024-02-19 15:06:28 +0000 UTCIt is cliche, yes, but this is actually a breath of fresh air compared to the dramas where you'll be stressed 95% of the entire duration of the drama before the female/male finally gets her redemption. Every episode of this drama is satisfying, although different from real life, at least we see once in a while a protagonist who was bullied before but knew how to handle it when given the 2nd chance.

Was it to get info on how her school life was back then? Is he trying to know more about her to help her? I’m sure he knows more than he lets on.

She’s conniving, makes decisions on her own (and gets mad when someone else does it though) and her scheme-y nature is admirable (lol) but so annoying! She’s trouble. I love the writing of the show as well, it’s fantastic.

Apparently things have gotten better, but damn, men used to be able to hit the employees, force drinks on ppl (women in particular), force the female workers to serve them coffee and humiliate you in front of everyone. It was insane.

2024-02-16 22:51:34 +0000 UTCI enjoyed this better than the webtoon only (don't flame me) because they added the emotional fleshing out of characters that I think sometimes can be missing if not executed properly. Does it have cliches? What kdrama doesn't? But like many have said it's up to the writers, directors, and actors to execute it properly. I was initially worried about the landing toward the ending but I think this is still on track. I think this is compared to the glory in the feeling that it's not a quick revenge story it takes time to setup the players in the way it needs to fall. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

Sure but then again there’s plenty of shows out there that are like that but are still entertaining if like Lee said is executed well. For the watching kdramas on your own thing.
