YBRL I remember you not giving this show even to your top 5 Isekai back in the day haha, so it's so funny how you have turned totally 180 in your opinion for this. Personally for myself it's pretty good, not my favorite as I like little bit more adult or seriousness in a story and this story hasn't had much of it at all and even less if we follow from MC perspective =)

Eminence plays it straight, until Cid completely misunderstands something, and has to dig himself out or run away. LCnOD plays it funny, with Yuuta dragging it back to reality. The constant tug-of-war keeps it fresh.

Examples: Overlord = World building. Mushoku Tensei = Character development. Slime = Large cast of like able Characters to invest in

Also the thing I noticed new was I didn't recognize the short hair blonde before. Now I know who she is. Same with the two fighting over food in bedroom.
