2023-12-08 00:09:12 +0000 UTC@4:35 It's important to keep in mind, every one of the girls in Shadow garden was sold of to the church or the cult as soon as their possession became apparent, unlike Rose, who was lucky enough to meet Cid before anyone found out. In this world possession is viewed as "sullying the bloodline" or "bringing shame to the family" basically, the nobles would spare no expense of covering it up by saying their kids suddenly died mysteriously while selling them to the cult to get experimented on. After you own family betrays you and a stray organization picks you up and saves you a from a life of grueling experimentation, you join the cult of shadows and sacrificing your family, if needed, for the cause becomes an obvious choice for these poor girls, that's just how it is. I think that's the reason they can't really understand Rose standing up for her mother, cause most of them were betrayed by their parents.
