2023-10-18 21:58:49 +0000 UTCThis show is so well written. It's a teenage drama shiw which i usually don't care too much about, but all the characters are really well thought out. Instead of feelling like a bunch of older kids all of them feel like young adults who are starting to understand their own and other's emotions. That's why this show gets me feeling real joy at some parts but also hits me in the feels at others. Combine that with great monologue and dialogue like toru talking about snow vs sakura blossom and miyamura in the bullies dream talking about inside vs outside makes for one of ny favorite anime together with Given. In the end i do feel that yuki and toru are a good fit for eachother but kono truly deserves someone of her own that treats her right.

They resolved it later, clearly, but it took Yuki and Hori to push them to resolve it. Men are of action, women are of thought and communication examples are used in this show a lot.

2023-10-18 14:53:52 +0000 UTCI think you misread my comment and took it a different direction. I called them toxic because they were using eachother. Not because of Yuki being insecure. As far as Toru, he told Hori that story because he didn't want her to know the truth, later in that episode Miyamura tells Yuki that they fought over Hori. It wasn't because he wouldn't acknowledge it. It was the fact that Miyamura had what Toru wanted and was lying to him to spare his feelings so Toru wanted to start a fight with him so he could feel better about not getting the girl.

Everyone has toxicity in them because nobody is perfect. Me and Dee Director nasty call ourselves toxic all the time. Depending on your personality it’s just a fun word to scream and talk about. There are plenty of different ways to describe it, toxic is simply trendy and it’s not that deep.

Are humans selfless creatures? You must be a saint then. You must be a perfect being like Cell. Not having the courage to speak up is apparently considered toxic now. If people dont got perfect confidence, attitude, courage and selflessness, I guess they just all toxic af.

Yuki for not speaking up and Sakura for selfishly shooting her shot only cause she thought he was dating someone else. I would say Toru deserved better but he's just as selfish considering he picked a fight with Miyamura twice because Hori doesn't like him back. So he sort of using Yuki to feel some sense of belonging and Yuki using him to fulfill her self worth.

Sakura did everything she possibly could to pursue Toru, while Yuki did nothing and hopefully, like it always happens, someone (example her sister) takes pity on her and gives up what they originally wanted to her. That's the worst kind of girl in such relationship. Furthermore she didn't make an effort to get what she wanted, but instead get it through pity, how long is she going to cherish the thing she got out of no effort from herself? I'd say she's going to get bored over it soon and decided she wanted something else without effort again.

2023-10-18 03:41:08 +0000 UTCYeah, its kind of a tough one. Like, for Yuki it just sort of feels like they kinda fell into it rather it being a choice anyone really made. Like oh, I guess its a thing now? Where Sakura actually went out and did the work to actually get what she wanted. Yuki didn't really do anything but be sad, lie to herself and others, and then stumble and fall into it. Its hard to feel good about that and not just shrug and feel like she got it out of coincidence and pity.
