2023-09-30 21:27:18 +0000 UTCThere is an aspect of Final Fantasy 16 that is very similar to this episode. There are people that can use magic and they are discriminated against and enslaved. While the rest of the kingdom can use magic with the help of crystals that have a limited amount of uses. They abuse them to the point where they die from over using magic; causing their bodies to turn to stone. There is even one NPC in the game that is coughing up blood and half stone as they use wind magic just to dry clothes for their master.

I got it the first time I watched it a decade ago, that's why it's hilarious and sad at the same time. The term "goi" is a dead giveaway for any history enthusiasts, we didn't have to go through all that analysis to quickly arrive at that conclusion if we know the term. Anyone can google the term "Goy/Goyim" to see for themselves. Hitler didn't hate the Jews out of nothing. I'm almost certain he has his own anecdotal experiences with Jews that made him hate them, just like Mogamet (which are never to be justified since you can't judge a whole race based on that). That was the point I was trying to make, and it didn't necessarily have to be Hitler. Every racist/classist leader will do, but I chose Hitler since as Americans Lee and the others would probably be more familiar with him.
