Right, I get that, just pointing out that she was (maybe) hallucinating earlier that same day, and is doubting that she heard a full-on confession in the middle of him saying ‘bye,’ and doesn’t want to check in case she /was/ and that somehow messes things up.

2023-09-28 14:18:55 +0000 UTCWell the first one with handholding was backtracked by her, and the anime subtitle was a bit wrong for miyamura's response, in context what he said would be taken as repeating that he loved her hands. In this episode, he very clearly says it, by using her name as the object in the sentence, there's no room for doubt about what he's saying he loves.

She confessed (when handholding), then backtracked to not put pressure on him, then he confessed in a way she misheard /as/ her backtrack. .- Then, here, he confessed like an RKO in the middle of stepping out when she ‘maybe’ couldn’t hear him, except she did hear him, but isn’t sure whether or not she hallucinated it and still doesn’t want to pressure it out of him in case that messes up what they’ve got going. Isn’t it?

This is a young girl in highschool who is scared, and afraid to lose what she has. Thats not toxic, its just immature, which isnt surprising since they are are in hs. I think ya'll just throw out the word toxic, so i never know if you're just saying it to say it, or actually meaning it.
