2023-09-24 21:12:32 +0000 UTCShape shifting is always a fun aspect to play with I remember very fondly a story I read where a dwarf looking character was secretly a giant that had been shrunk down to be smaller then the average person. Having giants be more reasonably sized makes it easier to use them and more believable as well.

My only advice is to make sure to stay true to what you want for the story. Its good to listen to fan advice, but always keep your own vision as the north star... ive seen a lot of great stories drop off due to pressure from loud detractors and you cant please everyone (probably obvious, but you asked for feedback and thats the only half decent adivce I would have for you xD )

The costume tells you something about his psyche and that's what good character design does👌. Obviously it doesn't have to be that deep and could just be one quirk of her design or article of clothing but you get what I'm saying. And yeah, i won't sugar coat my guy, but it's all love 🙏. love to see my people thriving especially in spaces where their aren't a lot of us so I'll be here to give my 2cents whenever you ask 🤣

My only feedback just from seeing this picture is every aspect of the character design should tell you something or make you wonder about the character. Are their clothes tattered? High society? Do they have jewelry or distinctive traits or marks? This is just a picture with no frame of reference so upon just seeing her i couldn't tell that she was half giant/fairy. But since you want that to be a plot point she could have a "fairy" keepsake on her that hints at her lineage as a clue for attentive readers. I don't know, i don't wanna write your story for you, just some thoughts off the top of my head.

2023-09-21 17:02:58 +0000 UTCShe should be about 7 ft. I have different types of giants her mother is from a race between 9-12 ft in height. So wont be from the mountains types. They also exist in the story though. Her “normal size” is also due to the fact that her father is a fairy and its gonna be important that people dont know she’s a giant in the beginning because she would be targeted very early on. So it will work out until she manifests more of her abilities and it’ll be apparent that she’s a giant descendent. I’m toying with the idea of her and her type to increase in size during battles but for her specifically i wanted to avoid her being tooooooo large but I wanted her to have the ridiculous strength associated with giants packed in a smaller body type with the magic of a fairy. I’ll take any feedback these are gonna be what readers think and i need to be challenged on my ideas
