Corn,and sugar being everywhere you wouldn't expect food wise is common in Korea, either you learn to love it or suffer... Also cheese... I got a cheese flavored icecream waffle once.... to this day not sure how I feel about it lol but also my fault for reading too fast and then just thinking it was going to be cheesecake flavored lol. Reading is fundamental in every language 😂

2023-08-31 22:04:38 +0000 UTCI’m going to add a bit of how their mom was a “good mom to Sang-tae but a bad one to Gang-tae” Gang-tae currently is self sabotaging himself from finding happiness right now and I truly believe a big part of it is his mom telling him “look out for your brother, that’s why I gave birth to you” Because other than him feeling guilty that he wanted his brother to die, he genuinely feels like his whole life purpose is for him to take care of his brother. Unfortunately it seems like he doesn’t know how to draw the line between taking care of his brother but also finding his own happiness. And I think that is where the mom messed up because as much as she had no ill intent, telling her kid that that was why he was born was really harmful mentally. There’s a lot of times where parents aren’t always aware that they are being bad parent’s especially to one of their kids in particular because it’s not all black and white. She doesn’t need to hit or starve her kid to be a bad mom. I know she truly tried her best to take care of them. But she showed so much more care towards one of them that it was enough for the other to think maybe his mother didn’t love him as much. That’s my take :)
