It's also easy to forget he's been in this world for around 15 years. Can't really blame him for it molding part of his personality. You can only resist your environment so much, and we're seeing that in Rudy's culture shift from his previous world to his current one, especially with the teleportation incident sending him to the dangerous Demon continent for 2 years. That is traumatizing and life-changing, even considering his "real" age.

For most of those who can't continue to watch it it's wasted potential because the MC isn't someone they connect with or want to watch. IMO. Everyone has a threshold of what they are willing to put up with for a MC. Not everyone is watching redo of a healer.

I like mushoku no tensei it reminds me of (it’s blasphemous but…)one piece, luffy is the driving force of the show and the characters around him are in my opinion what makes the show great. Rudy is the same, he is the driving force of the show; and the world of mushoku and relationships of different characters are awesome. It’s honestly one of the few shows that just fly by when I’m watching.

2023-08-31 19:24:28 +0000 UTCI truly think most people being so freaked out of Rudy's ecchi moves, have never actually watched old ecchi, romance, comedy animes this was pretty "normal" for those kind of shows what is happening in Mushoku. What is more realistic is the psychological aspect, actual character growth and Rudy being honest to his personality. He isn't some white knight and he enjoys perverted things that is just what he likes. I found Cliff & Elinalise actually more disturbing than anything Rudy has done in the sense that Elinalise is a full adult female you could think her like 35-45 year old woman with big life experiences then using a very young boy to her advantage, this is actually more disturbing but truthfully nobody talked anything about that :D

Just makes him more of a POS then people care to watch. I stopped watching so I'm not going to fight for it to much. I just think alot of people are mad because it has so much potential.

I think people need to remember the difference between real life and fantasy. I can enjoy evil characters in shows why can’t people handle a morally grey character.

It's like having a friend who you love like a family member but you can't hang out with because they'll get you arrested or shot. It's like DAMN if you could just have done a lil less. 😂

So like for me this show could have a great back half but I've already checked out because the show had to consistently show Rudy commiting acts that mentally as a 35+ yr old Japanese man is wrong.

I think for most people that actually watched the show it's the fact he keeps stacking scummy behavior in every episode. So you get beatin down by a scummy MC you don't want to see. If they mixed in episodes covering other people I don't think people even fanswould be so over it

His experiences in this world have changed him a lot, but even right from the start he was different from the person he was before. Episode 1 of season 1 @3:06 he's talking about breast feeding with Zenith "It didn't turn me on, though. Maybe cause she's my mom?" He's not a completely new person, but he's not just who he was before in a new skin either. He's a complex mix that's only gotten more complex as he's grown up in this world.
