Not sure if you covered this part, but in the manga it mentions they didn't win the contest, their father found out the Grandpa was dying and and how Miku had signed up, so he wanted to make her happy and also let them have one last reunion with their gramps

But seriously, I actually seriously hated Nino from the first time we were introduced to her but after this episode she actually became my absolute #1 favorite until the end. Her personality is very cold/unfriendly on the outside but once you actually connect with that kind of women, that bond could really last a lifetime. IMO not all guys can handle a girl with that cold/bold attitude but I love that kind of edge personally - it makes life vibrant and exciting.

She's voiced by Ayana Taketatsu who voices Kirino Kousaka from Oreimo so I was team Nino from day 1. I know Nino skyrocketed the stole popularity polls from this episode to the very end but she was best girl from Episode 1. 100% Nino.

She doesn't hold back at all and its really refreshing. Would love to know Lee, Adork, & DN's ratings as of this point bc this is such a turning point from here on out in general.

Let's not also forget Ichika has a big sister mentality, so she was also hesitant on confessing because she knew Miku liked him. I do like this show a lot because all of the sisters stay true to their personalities( until its time for them to grow as characters ). 1) Ichika has an older sister personality so she's scared of being selfish towards her sisters 2) Nino is bold, so her confessing first is in character 3)Miku being the opposite of Nino takes a lot more courage 4) Yotsuba being a selfless because she feels as if she's a burden towards her sisters 5) Itsuki has a very straight laced/younger sister personality she doesn't understand what's going on with her older sisters
