And went into gory detail how her mother died in the cellar/beauty room. The lady had flashbacks to her daughter dying due to how she described it.

2023-08-24 05:48:25 +0000 UTCas sang tae said in his sleep 'mom knows everything'. both sides of the story are true. yes, he wasn't seeing the full picture but also that the way their life was and the dynamic that his mother put int he family, deeply affected him, serious trauma there. and his mom knew, she brought him up with the expectations of responsibility and that his first priority is always his brother. cause just like their father, if she had to leave too (or old age later in life) then gang tae needed to be strong enough for himself and his brother. Justifiable in their situation but still sucks. but still there were moments where leaving the harsh reality behind, the mother would just love him too, he just needed the reminder. just like Juri's mom said, he has been taking care of his brother since he was a kid himself so he must know how difficult it was for his mother. the fact that he literally doesn't have a life of his own, can't express his emotions to the point it becomes second nature, the responsibility of another human being other than yourself, the social repercussions, never having another person in his life cause 'his hands are already full' his attention is 100% on his brother constantly (the future episode explore more on that dynamic, the goods and bags of that). he finally understands things from his mothers point of view cause he has been in that position all along as well (kinda also like he is with moon young, he just can't give her that much time, energy or attention). and his mother knew how hard it was on him hence the scene of the mother hugging him in sleep and crying, apologizing but that's the harsh reality of their situation.

This was one my favourite episodes because the flashbacks with the mom's perspective. it's when we get older and talk to our other people/our parents we might understand our their view (whether good or bad). Also Munyeong cutting her hair aka her leash was so freeing.
