2023-08-10 00:40:40 +0000 UTC@24:30 director was asking when she flipped and I'm thinking she had already been in denial by the New Year episode, just like Amane being in denial very early in the series. Her flipping point should be last episode when he supported her after her mother appears and told her he will be with her no matter what. She accepted her feelings for him then and wanted him to express to her that he likes her back. Since it's obvious to everyone closed to them, it's going to be obvious to themselves too. But she doesn't want to be the one saying she likes him before he confirms he likes her. She's worried that he is just being nice to everyone who needed him to be nice. Hence why she wanted him to say out loud that he likes her, to confirm his feelings for her. And that's why she's trying hard to make him feeling the romantic feelings without saying it out. The part in the cooking class where Chitose wanted to comment they looked like a married couple, Shiina is both embarrassed and doesn't want others to overhear Chitose saying that. Especially Amane already said he doesn't want others to know their relationships.
