2024-01-15 07:11:56 +0000 UTCok i watched a light novel things missed video and it reminded me of something that i forgot. so where rudy dueled fitz, not only was there an auto healing circle on the ground, but there were powerful barriers in place around the room protecting it from stray magic fire. the biggest thing is the room was made out of special anti magic bricks that are only made in this region. in the light novel, rudy fired one 'small' stone bullet at fitz, that graised her, broke through the anti magic barrier, but also embedded itself into the anti magic bricks. thats actually more what everyone was surprised about, not only that he beat fitz, but that his basic magic spell was so strong.

Ppl in this world don't rly have that good of a mental imagination that also is compatible w/ how the magic energy materialization thingie works (you can't just imagine w/e the fuck you feel like, it still has to be something the magic system can actually execute from the image)

2023-08-07 10:36:31 +0000 UTCto silent cast you need to visualise what the spell is doing. rudy being from our modern world, can visualise fire,earth,water,wind because they run off scientific principles, but he has no idea how healing works. zenith actually taught sylphie healing and detoxifying magic and had her help her in the village(zenith would heal people sometimes, kinda like a village doctor).

2023-08-07 09:27:50 +0000 UTCMy favorite storytelling in this is that Rudy learned how to survive on the streets in the DEMON CONTINENT, the Dark Souls of that world. Every time he mentions it people freak out, Sodats party being it up when he kills the red dragon. The other thing is something I noticed, Fitz can silent spell cast healing magic, Rudy CANT. Orstead mentioned it in their fight, itβs why his first move was to crush his lungs; so he couldnβt cast spells.(season 1 Ep 21, 10:45 mark) Edit: I also forgot to mention, Rudy learned Disturb Magic from reverse engineering it from seeing Orstead doing it. Itβs the only new thing he has done in the 5+ years since the Fittoa teleportation disaster, he has been stagnant magic wise this whole time. His low level spells are just really fucking powerful.
