2023-08-09 16:56:36 +0000 UTCAll the talk a few episodes ago about how hollow reiatsu is poison to quincies and how quincies kill hollows due to their fear of them and yet all the captains who have mastered hollow powers and have bee shown to be incredibly powerful and Kubo just has them not use any of it. Wasted potential like this bugs me in stories. Like what was the point?

Shinji shows up and talks shit and acts smug and Bambi claps him Kensei shows up and talks mad shit and is overconfident and gets a beating for it Rose literally explains how his power works to his enemy which allows him to overcome it and get clapped Kubo can write a fight that’s not like this, we just saw it in this same episode with renji, this isn’t him not knowing how to write a good story or fight for these characters, it’s him consistently giving them the short end of the stick lol

Bambi and mask really carrying the team by incapacitating 3 captain level soul reapers between the two of them lol. There’s more than enough enemies for pretty much every captain level character to get a fight, but kubo would rather two of them job as hard as possible in one fight to hype up renji. Just kinda funny to me

It's honestly not that bad. Every artist has characters they don't like but need them to be in the story so they can't just be written off.
