if you were here to suggest something other than a Korean Drama please don’t there’s a lot of reading to sift through already.
Before we begin…. I dunno how people think I’m not into Romance. I am. I’m not naturally romantic but i like watching it lol. AdorkableNerd does not. But we wont worry about that 😂😂😂. Director is in the same boat as me. We love the drama and more if it’s toxic 😭
“It’s about time we picked out another Kdrama, aside from “Flower Of Evil” or “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay” because those are ALREADY in line to post. “The Hotel Luna”? That could be a fair recommendation. Can’t disregard the acclaim “Goblin” has on YouTube and Patreon, so I won’t box myself in. I’m not keen on shows that run over 16 episodes. 20 episodes are fine if they’re on the shorter side, but I’ve got NO patience for anything more than 20. It’s simply too much of an ask for one fandom within a genre when others may not be as keen.”

Anyways there's a live-action version of Zom 100 showing on Netflix currently. I am aware that you're currently reacting to the Anime version, so I don't know if you would want to wait until you're done with that, watch it alongside, check it out off-camera or give it a pass, but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

2023-08-06 02:37:52 +0000 UTCCRASH LANDING ON YOU is a really popular drama, a lot of people started to watch kdramas through this and it's REALLY good HOMETOWN CHA-CHA-CHA, I love the actors this is a light and funny drama, I love the actors (curiosity: one of the ML leads of bloodhounds (woojin) is in this drama but he is not a main character) LAWLESS LAWYER there is a lot of action (the ML knows how to fight irl so his scenes are really good) HOTEL DEL LUNA, it's fantasy, I love the main couple and it has an interesting story THE K2, I love this drama, it has action, politics l, vengeance, it’s super interesting and I absolutely love the ML COFFEE PRINCE, ik it's a super old drama (2007) but it’s so good, I think you guys would like and tbh I'm curious to see your reactions to it MILITARY PROSECUTOR DOBERMAN is a story about two military prosecutors, it involves corruption in the military, vengeance, there's action too I absolutely love the main leads (I'm biased but yeah)

Hotel Deluna- a new case every episode kind of like Attorney woo in that way. But make it magical/mystical. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim- Romcom with the main actor from Itaewon class (saeroyi) with a slight mystery aspect and ofc drama Reborn Rich- mystery family politics some romance not focused tho. If you like money/investing with all the aforementioned things you'd like this. I was very invested in the drama lol. Touch Your Heart- Grim Reaper and the Chicken shop lady are the main leads. This also came out a bit after Goblin. It's a romcom with law cases.

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, W: Two Worlds, Tomorrow, He is Psychometric and The King Eternal Monarch for some fantasy with mystery. Move To Heaven, If You Wish Upon Me and Missing The Other Side for more emotional but good stories. There are so many good dramas that its hard to pick just a few. Currently myself, I am watching Numbers, Uncanny Counter 2 and then plan to watch Moving (new superhero one) that starts next week on the 9th and First Responders (season 2). Lol, my own list of ones to try is really long and always growing.

As a show recommendation I’m with DannyB suggesting Happiness because it’s a slower pace “all of us are dead” vibe I think Lee will love the villain as always and I’m itching for something different. In the romance department Crash landing on you does really well with audiences so you might enjoy that. And hotel de Luna has a strong female lead I’m all for that. Ok that was my 2 cents

If you like ITS OKAY TO NOT BE OK, you'll like Hotel Del Luna. Still highly recommend BEYOND EVIL, a crime thriller, or SIGNAL, a brilliant time travel thriller (by the same writer of KINGDOM), just because both are insanely gripping and well-written, and maintain their production quality throughout. They're a level above the others. HE IS PSYCHOMETRIC is a fantasy thriller more like Uncanny Counter, though more cult in status. A lot of Kdramas start off amazing and peter out toward the end, or lean into the ridiculous to fill time (I love MOUSE, but some of its plot twists were too far-fetched for me. That said, you might enjoy Mouse simply for how out-there it gets). Hotel Del Luna, Beyond Evil, and Signal are all modern classics, and HDL and HIP cast Kpop idols with significant fanbases, so they may bring in more patrons for you. :shrug: EDITING to add: lots of people reccing WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING. Seconding that one, it's fun.

It probably won’t get recommended too much though, considering it’s an older genre. But that and it’s okay, that’s love (not it’s okay to not be okay) kind of paved the way for mental health issues in kdramas. Kill me heal me is about someone who has multiple personality disorder, while it’s okay that’s love deals with multiple issues and traumas. It’s okay that’s love is my all time favorite kdrama. I hope even if you don’t react, maybe someone taking the time to read this comment will watch. Please give it a try. I promise it’ll be worth it.

Because the main character are men and there is a nice bromance between them. There are 2 seasons tho but each season has 6 episodes and all the episodes are u see an hour long.
